Aubrey Powell (footballer)

Aubrey Powell was a Welsh international soccer player who scored 8 times for the Wales national football team. Powell's time at Leeds United A.F.C. had just got underway when he had a career-threatening leg fracture during a game. It was 18 months before he resumed his career - and then he had less than a year before World War 2 broke out. He played for Leeds on numerous occasions during the war, when he also turned out for Wales.
