AR offers fourteen Advanced Placement classes: Biology, Chemistry, Micro Economics, Computer Science, Calculus AB, European History, US History, US Government and Politics, World Studies, English Language/Composition, Literature, Spanish, French, and German.

A former member of the North Division of the 4A South Puget Sound League, in 2006 Auburn Riverside and the other Auburn schools became a part of the newly formed 3A SPSL. Recent team state tournament results include:
- Girls Basketball- 1st in 2007 (3A).
- Gymnastics- 2nd in 2006 (4A)
- Boys Tennis- 2nd in 2002(4A), 3rd in '03 and '01(4A), 5th in '05(4A), 6th in '04(4A), and 7th in '06(4A).
- Fastpitch- 3rd in 2004 (4A)
- Boys Soccer- 4th in 2002 (4A)
- Boys Cross Country- 5th in 2005(4A), 4th in 2004(4A) and 2006(3A), and 7th in '03(4A).
- Wrestling- 5th in 2007 (3A).
- Boys Track and Field-6th in 2003(4A) and 7th in '05(4A).
- Girls Cross Country- 8th in 2006(3A)
Other sports are football, girls soccer, golf, baseball, boys basketball, swim and dive, girls track and field, and girls tennis.
Auburn RIverside just named Bob Morgan as head football coach. He used to be the defensive coordinator under the prior head coach, Andrew Sage.
