Auchinleck ,sometimes pronounced Affleck, (Gaelic: Achadh nan Leac) is a large village with a population of ca. 3,900 situated 8 km south-east of Mauchline, and a few kilometres north-west of Cumnock in East Ayrshire, Scotland. Near the village (Auchinleck Estate) is Auchinleck House, past home of the lawyer, diarist and biographer James Boswell, 9th Laird of Auchinleck.
The famous Junior Football club, Auchinleck Talbot, play at Beechwood park in the village.
It is derived from Achadh nan Leac, Scottish Gaelic for "Field of the Standing Stones"
