Audrys Juozas Cardinal Bačkis (born February 1, 1937) is a Lithuanian prelate, the current archbishop of Vilnius, Lithuania, and a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.
He was born in Kaunas. On 24 December 1991 Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Vilnius in Lithuania. He was created Cardinal-Priest of Natività di Nostro Signore Gesù Cristo a Via Gallia on 21 Feburary 2001.
He was one of the cardinal electors who participated in the 2005 papal conclave that selected Pope Benedict XVI.
