Peter O’Connell is a professional voice over talent who began his announcing career in Dayton, OH at WVUD-FM (now WLQT) and later at WLVL-AM in Lockport, NY serving in various capacities at both radio stations including afternoon-drive news announcer, disc-jockey and production manager (producing, writing and providing voiceovers for station commercials and promos.)
It was during this time, he established audio’connell Voice Over Talent, which today continues to provide professional voiceover services for national and international clients. audio’connell Voice Over Talent also coordinates and assists in the casting of professional female voice over talents from around the world.
From his studios in Upstate New York, O’Connell’s voice over talents have been heard across America and in each of the country’s top ten broadcast markets on many commercial and corporate narrator projects. London, Sydney, and Toronto are just a few of the international markets where his voice talents have been prominently featured in productions.
Some of Peter O’Connell’s voiceover credits include productions for Crosby Stills & Nash, Ring of Fire: The Johnny Cash Musical Show, Cleveland Browns Football, New York State Department of Labor, Full Circle Studios, Skating Plus, Everlasting Films, Star Marketing and Media, Lonnie’s Carpet, Devaweb, Good to Go Credit.com, Rhoe B. Henderson Insurance, Paragon Advertising, and WKBW-TV.
Some recently completed O’Connell voice over projects include a commercial for the New Jersey Alliance and New Jersey Tourism promoting the Jersey Shore and serving as a voice over and narrator for the Junior Chamber International 2006 Seoul World Congress. O’Connell’s studio is often requested to supply character and animation voice services and he recently provided his voice acting skills in an ISDN delivered project for the soon to be released Bio-Shock video game.
Peter has served on numerous community boards including as President of Buffalo/Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives, Vice Chair of Mount St. Joseph Academy Board of Trustees, Marketing Co-Chair for the Diocese of Buffalo Board of Catholic Education, Co-Chair of St. Joseph Cathedral’s Catholic Charities Appeal, Co-Founder of the Buffalo Chapter of the University of Dayton Alumni Association, a member of the Canisius High School Alumni Board of Governors as well as the Catholic School Development Program for the Diocese of Buffalo.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television Communication from the University of Dayton (OH). A pathetic (yet dedicated) golfer, he lives with his wife and daughter.
