Talk:Aurora Snow

[edit] I don't know about this...
I'm questioning whether or not this is even worthy of adding to this article:
- In 2004 the band Love Cinema Vol.6 wrote a song about Aurora Snow appropriately entitled " Aurora Snow ". It was released on their 2005 self titled cd.
My reasoning is this: The artist is hardly notable at all, as far as I am able to tell, and this has no bearing on the actress herself. Thoughts? -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 04:03, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't think it needs to be added if the band isn't of note. Willerror 00:11, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your input Willerror. :-) Judging by the lack of support, I figure that no one really cares enough to have it included anyway. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 04:04, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Rebecca Kinsington" ref
Due to an apparent WP:OFFICE decision enacted by Jimbo Wales, this page was blanked. For the discussion prior to this blanking, please see this history link. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud — WP:PORN BIO? 17:52, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sources
Reliable secondary sources are required per WP:RS, WP:V, WP:BLP, etc. etc. Policy specifically states that unsourced or poorly sourced material should be removed immediately and without discussion. I'm reverting the page and removing the remaining unsourced material too; please adhere to policy and source any new additions. Valrith 17:42, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Since this has been unsourced for a long time, why don't you actually try and look for info yourself via interviews etc. since it's obvious you have a deep fascination and interest in porn stars. --71.106.154.176 18:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- IMHO, the article has been severely cut off at it's legs thanks to Valrith's hasty and destructive edits. I think the information should be re-added but just tagged while we make a group effort to find sources. What does everyone else think? --CJ 22:53, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

- Folks, quicher belly-achin' and just up and look for sources! It took me less than 5 minutes to find sources for most of the biography (in Aurora's own words to boot!) and the awards. What Valrith is doing is right. Same thing happened to the Ron Jeremy article some months back, and the blanking was done by Jimbo Wales himself. That's someone you don't revert on a whim folks. Also, I just want to copy the text that was left at Talk:Ron Jeremy by Jimbo explaining why he blanked the Ron Jeremy article. Same thing applies to Valrith's actions on this article folks:
- I think that Frise has done the right thing here. Yes, it is entirely possible that he could have done more... by going through this thoroughly horrible article and trying to extract the tiny handful of facts which are properly sourced. I hope that he, or someone, will take the time to do so... fact-by-fact, very carefully.
- But simply restoring the unsourced junk in this article and adding fact tags to it is not really enough. We must take quality very seriously, and this is precisely the intent of our ongoing efforts to raise quality standards.
- The version I just blanked contained such gems as an unsourced claim that Mr. Jeremy is known as a "The Hedgehog", that he was but is no longer capable of autofellatio, that he was arrested on two occassions, that he has had unprotected sex with thousands of people, that he claims to have had sex with 5000 women, etc.
- Are those claims true? Well, in the case of Mr. Jeremey who has admittedly led a colorful life, it seems likely that they are. But "it seems like something that could be true" must not be sufficient cause to re-introduce questionable material into Wikipedia, and if all that someone has time to do is nuke a bad article, the right response to those who want to restore it, is to restore it fact by fact, piece by piece, making absolutely certain that the quality is right.--Jimbo Wales 07:27, 12 December 2006 (UTC) (emphasis added by Tabercil)
That's why Jimbo did it then, and I've since rebuilt the article up from that blanked state to its current state. If I can do it for Ron, you folks can do it for Aurora. I found one source and have used that to add back in the information that one source backs up to the Aurora article. There's lots more information out there about Aurora - get off your duff and look!
