Austin TV is a Post-rock/indie rock band from Mexico City. Austin TV creates sonic landscapes with their music without lyrics. They have opened for the group Yo La Tengo in Mexico, and have released two LPs, one EP and appearances in many Mexican independent bands compilations. Like The Residents or Devo, the group usually plays on stage with masks, disguises and uniforms.
Austin TV has shared the stage with some important bands of the Mexican scene, as well as international bands, like Mogwai, Tristeza, The Album Leaf, Incubus, Babasonicos, Plastilina Mosh, Los Planetas, Delorean, Boom Boom Kid, Hummersqueal, Sad Breakfast, Los Látigos, Los Abandoned, Telefunka, Los Fancy Free, Niña, División Minúscula, Childs, Meet your Feebles, etc.
