Avonlea

Avonlea is a fictional community located on Prince Edward Island, Canada, and is the setting of Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel Anne of Green Gables, its sequels, and the television series Road to Avonlea. Avonlea is based on the town of Cavendish, Prince Edward Island.
In Montgomery's works, Avonlea was located on the northern shore of Prince Edward Island on a small peninsula. Its primary industries were farming and fishing for lobster. Neighbouring fictional towns included Carmody, White Sands, Grafton, and Bright River.
