Awsay Strok (January 1, 1877 - July 1, 1956) was an American impresario who introduced many noted artists to Far Eastern audiences.
A native of Riga, Latvia, he began his career in the Far East as a 'cellist with the Old Shanghai Symphony Orchestra after World War I. He soon gave up his own music to act as agent for others. One of his first presentations was Efrem Zimbalist, the violinist. Throughout his career he represented such artists as the violinist Jascha Heifetz, the 'cellist Gregor Piatigorsky, and the pianist Arthur Rubenstein.
He died in Tokyo, Japan in 1956 where he is buried.
