Azerbaijan Air Force

The Azerbaijan Air Force (AzAF, Azeri: Azərbaycan hərbi hava qüvvələri) is the air force of the military of Azerbaijan.

The AzAF has about 7,900 personnel and operates 100 aircraft, including 50 helicopters at 16 bases, with an additional 50 other airports available as needed.

[edit] Upgrade and addition
In 2002, the Air Defense Forces received a major upgrade and addition, and plans to further expansion in 2007. The addition consisting of:
- MiG-25 Foxbat fighters - 19
- Su-25 Frogfoot Ground attack planes - 6
- Su-24 Fencer fighter bombers - 9
- Tu-16 Badger heavy bombers - 10
- Mi-24 Hind attack helicopters - 25
