Bajour (musical)

Bajour is a Broadway musical that first opened on 23 Nov 1964 at the Shubert Theatre, with music and lyrics by Walter Marks, and book by Ernest Kinoy based on stories by Joseph Mitchell originally published in The New Yorker. The show is set in New York City and Newark, NJ in the mid-1960s. It ran for 232 performances, and closed on 12 Jun 2005 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. That year, Peter Gennaro was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Choreography, and Nancy Dussault was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for the role of Emily Kirsten. This show also marked the first Broadway performance by Paul Sorvino, in a couple of minor roles.
