Founded in 1978 by Peter Paraskaksis as Baker's Dozen Donut Corporation and based in Mississauga, Ontario.

The chain operates 58 stores, mostly in the Toronto, Ontario market area. Expansion came in the late 1980s, but it remains a small scale operation. Stores are chain owned and operated by hired staff. Most are located away from larger rivals, like Tim Hortons.
