Ballad of a Shinigami (しにがみのバラッド。 Shinigami no Ballad.?) is a light novel series being written by Hasegawa K-ske (ハセガワケイスケ) since June 2003, published by Dengeki Bunko and to be released in the US by Seven Seas Entertainment. In each story, Momo the shinigami, or god of death, and her accomplice Daniel, a talking black cat, interfere with the world of the living. An anime version has started broadcasting since March 2, 2006, titled Shinigami no Ballad: momo the girl god of death on WOWOW satellite TV. A manga version by Asuka Izumi (和泉明日香) is being serialized in the shōjo manga magazine "LaLa". A drama CD version was made as well.

The TV drama directed by Kohtaroh Terauchi (寺内康太郎) began airing mondays on TV Tokyo, on January 8, 2007. It was the second TV drama from Dengeki Bunko since Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora.
