Baltimore Marylands

The Baltimore Marylands were a short-lived National Association baseball club during the 1873 season. They played their one and only home game at Madison Avenue Grounds[1], although several sources place their home games at Newington Park[2], but that park was the home of the Baltimore Canaries or, as they were known then, the Lord Baltimores. The Marylands record was 0-6, giving up 152 runs while only scoring 26.[3] The Marylands only two opponents for these six games were Washington Blue Legs and the Baltimore Canaries, they played the latter in final 4 games before the team finally folded after the July 11, 1873 game.[4]
