Barisal Cadet College, is a military high school in Rahmatpur, Babuganj, Bangladesh. It is located 12 km from Barisal, beside the Dhaka Barisal highway.

When Bangladesh and Pakistan were a joined country, Pakistan Military Force established some Cadet Colleges in West Pakistan (Now Pakistan) and some Cadet Colleges in East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh). After the liberation war, Bangladesh Defense Force established six more Cadet Colleges.Previously it was Barisal residential model college.In 1981 Bangladesh government declared it as a cadet college.

- Shariatullah house:This house is named after Haji Shariatullah.House color is blue,symbol is Leapord.House moto is "success is our target".
- Sher-e-Bangla HouseThis house is named after A. K. Fazlul Huq.House color is green,and symbol is Tiger.House moto is "Deeds not words".
- Suhrawardy house:This house is named after Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy.House color is red,symbol is Lion.House mooto is "Knowledge is our power".

- There is well decorated museum beside Principal's office which contains the architectural design of full cadet college,Picture of principal's, wallmagazines etc.

Barisal Cadet College has a separate hospital name Bir Sreshtha Nur Muhammad Hospital specifically for all the cadets and employees. A full time doctor from the Army Medical Corps is appointed along with 1 qualified assistants.
All the medicines are provided free of cost. Sick cadets can report at the hospital every morning. The hospital is open 24 hours to accommodate any special needs.
Critical cases are directly referred to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka Cantonment.

- Quranic Society : Members of this society practise islamic religious activities.
- Bengla Debate & poetry recitation : Members of this society practise Bangla debate & poetry recitation. Bengala Debate & poetry recitation.
- English Debate & poetry recitation : This is the club where CADET's can practise spoken english, Public speaking,English debate etc.This club helps CADET's to increase there skill in english language.
- Geography Society : this is one of the most interesting and knowledegble clubs. Here cadets learn about our country's geography all along with the whole world. This club has many valuable collections like various types of soil, rock and books on Earth.which really helps cadets to enrich their knowledge.
- Hiking Club : This club is runned by college adjutant and medical officer gradually. In this club cadet usually roam arround the college area to make it clean and greeny.

- Computer Club : The members of this club learn initial things of computer handeling.In this club there are few computers provided by the college authority.
- First Aid Club : This club is runned by college medical officer. He tries to make cadets conscious about how to maintain sound health and hygiene. It provides training on first aid practically.
- Wood Work Club : This club makes the cadets conscious about how to maintain sound health and hygiene. It provides training on first aid practically.
- Music Club : The member o this club practise music under the guidance of a music teacher.Basically they practise Tagor songs, nazrul songs, classic song as well as Band music.
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs Club :In this club cadets can learn general knowledge and they got the idea what's happening inside the world.
- Arts and Crafts Club :The objective of this club is to nourish and develop cadet's latent creative talents in paintings.

Cadets are enrolled in the seventh grade. They continue their study for six years. The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) is the final examination to pass.
Each class generally has fifty students. The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations are administered under direct control of the Board of Education of Barisal Division.
