Barnsley College is a further education college just out of the town centre of Barnsley, England. It has several campuses: Eastgate House, the Falcon Centre, the SciTech Centre, Old Mill Lane Site, Construction Centre Site and the Honeywell Centre. The college provides A levels, vocational courses and higher education courses.

This is one of the biggest sites, housing most student services and a wide range of subjects.

In this building the A Level subjects are taught, examples include English, Geography and Business.
[edit] The SciTech Centre
Opened by Patrick Stewart in November 2004, and houses Science, Maths and Computing subjects. A Levels are also taught in this building if they involve science, computing or maths. ICT shares rooms with computing.

Has specialist facilities for Arts, Music and Music Technology, Sports and Physical Education. Examinations are also held here.
[edit] Notable Alumni
- Sam Nixon was a catering student until he entered the Pop Idol TV competition in 2003. He is now a television presenter.
- Kate Rusby attended in the early 1990s. She is now a folk singer.
- Alex Turner and Matt Helders of the Arctic Monkeys rock group studied Music there.
- Simon Hirst is now a radio presenter for Galaxy 105.
- Claire Gould studied journalism there in 1995, and went on to become Australia's top online journalist.
- Oliver Sykes Lead vocalist in the metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon and has recently won a Kerrang Best British Newcomer Award in 2006
