Baroness (metal band)

Baroness is a metal band from Savannah, Georgia, whose members grew up together in Lexington, Virginia. Baroness formed in the summer of 2003, founded by former members of the punk / metal band Johnny Welfare And The Paychecks. The band has completed three US-tours, tours in Canada and the UK, a 6-week tour across Europe with Torche,[1] and a number of festivals and showcases. Baroness has remained silent about the origins of their name.[2]

- Third (At A Loss Recordings, 2007) will be a split CD with unpersons, it has been recorded, and is due out in spring 2007.
First and Second were written and recorded while the drummer Allen Blickle lived in Radford, Virginia, but the rest of the band lived in Savannah. Third will be the first title released while the entire band has lived in Savannah.[5]
Their first full length is in prodution, and will debut in late 2007. The project is currently untitled, and they have not publically announced what record label it will be on.[6]
