The article says "coal mining has always been unprofitable" -- surely this isn't literally true or else the coal wouldn't be mined in the first place. Tlogmer 13:49, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- It's all relative. The Russians mine only a little coal, use many miners and support staff to do that, BUT the expenses are in roubles and the income is in Euro/Krona/Dollars. It's like sending tourists in orbit for only 20m dollars. The Russians will put prodigeous effort in getting very few dollars.
