Talk:Barrie Chase
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is a problem with Barrie's year of birth, however ungentlemanly it may appear to raise this. IMDB gives 1933, Answers.Com gives 1934, Alsodances.net gives 1936, and Tim Satchell's Astaire, The Biography gives 1938 but he adds "the year The Gay Divorcee was released" which would mean 1934, agreeing with Answers.com. At least they all agree on October 30. Now that's what I call a real mess, but as a gentleman, and in the absence of a proper authoritative citation, I feel obliged to go with Also Dances and 1936. The lady deserves nothing less.Dermot 14:15, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- Makes sense, though in general, it's likely to be the earliest date that is the most accurate. Judging by what I have seen of An Evening With Fred Astaire, she looks more like someone already well into her 20s in 1958. She's still around, though, so I suppose we could always look her up in the phone book and ask...
- Anyway, I'm happy that this stub exists at all. ProhibitOnions (T) 17:01, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
