Spider-Man: Battle for New York is a sequel to the GBA and Nintendo DS versions of Ultimate Spider-Man. It features Spider-Man as the main character and The Green Goblin as the main villain. The Green Goblin is also a playable characer, like Venom in Ultimate Spider-Man. It has not been confirmed whether or not this game is canon to the Ultimate Spider-Man series. A trailer was released, which revealed little to nothing except potential gameplay.[1]

This game is based before Ultimate Spider-man as it shows the Origin of the Green Goblin. However, it is not cannon to the Ultimate Spider-man comics.[citation needed]

- Peter Parker/Spider-Man: The main character, and the character the player plays as throughout most of the game.
- Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin: A major character who is also another playable character.
- Mary Jane Watson: Peter's girlfriend who appears for no more then one cut scene in the game.
- Wilson Fisk (The Kingpin): A main enemy in the game.
- Ben Urich: A major character who assists Peter by giving him information.[2]
- Silver Sable: Siver Sable has been hired by the Kingpin in this game.
- Nick Fury: Is the head of S.H.I.E.L.D..
- S.H.I.E.L.D: Shield agents will apparently be "hot on the trail" of the Green Goblin and be enemies the player will have to face as the Green Goblin. [3]
