Talk:Battle of Sishui Pass
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm now suspicious about the factuality of this battle, Sanguo Zhi said nothing about a Sishui Pass, only Luyang (魯陽) and Yangren (陽人). deadkid_dk 10:11, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Coalition Vs. Hua Xiong
I can't really say how this battle went down exactly, but I shall relate to some of it from the novel's P.O.V. As you know, Cao Cao sent out a call-to-arms to all warlords and other various leaders to join him in a fight for freedom against Dong Zhuo. Yuan Shao was made head commander at the time and Sun Jian took the role as the Van guard. With Sun Jian leading the army, he would have much success, but due to Yuan Shu and his advisor, he had a hard time managing himself against Dong Zhuo own general, Hua Xiong.
Hua Xiong manages to defeat Sun Jian's army and gain the rank of Commander-In-Chief, but he was later as we know, slain by Guan Yu. This battle alone marks the beginning of Guan Yu's skill as he later on would become a very challenging opponent. (Please correct me if I'm wrong about anything)--Zhang Liao 23:15, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
