Bear Creek (Yellow River, Iowa)

Bear Creek, also known as Bear Hollow Creek is a tributary of the Yellow River of Iowa, originating in Jefferson Township, near Rossville, Iowa in Allamakee County, Iowa, becoming an ever-flowing stream as it passes into Clayton County, Iowa. While named on certain maps and road-signs, it is sometimes regarded as an unnamed stream. It parallels Allamakee County Road X26 (Rossville/Monona Road). It enters the Yellow river near Volney, Iowa, approximately where the state of Iowa maintains the Yellow River Valley Canoe and Heritage Trail in Allamakee County, Iowa. It joins the Yellow River in Clayton County, near Volney.
There is also a Bear Creek (Upper Iowa River), a tributary to the Upper Iowa River, also in Allamakee County.
