Yes, merge the Beacon Fm article into Beacon Radio as the station has recently changed name. Plus the article needs to be cleaned up. -- Yes, these two articles need to me merged. I will work on it this coming weekend. Lee Stanley 14:14, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes of course Beacon Radio 303 really was a wonderful radio station in the late 1970s. Maybe the assertion is clouded by nostalgia, as media output and choice was much less back then. But seriously, the station was unique. Living in the Black Country was suddenly like living in the States. The sound of Beacon was totally different to anything that we had heard before. The presenters (or DJ's as we called them) were slick and professional. KKJ did his Saturday evening disco show and people listened to Beacon non stop. Never since that time has a station made such an indelible mark on its audience (personal opinion).
