Behind the Paint is an autobiographical book written by Joseph Bruce (Violent J), better known as half of the Detroit, Michigan horrorcore group Insane Clown Posse. The Book, Behind the Paint is about Violent J's journey through life, from when he was a child to the present and even near future. He explains why he is the was he is, important times in his life, what struggles he went through, and how/why ICP came to be. Behind The Paint is also the title of a song featured on the Insane Clown Posse album Bizaar.
