Bell's Stores
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bells Stores is a chain of local convenience stores in the North East of England. Since February 2004 it has been owned by J Sainsbury, one of the four major supermarket groups in the United Kingdom and it now trades as "Sainsbury's at Bells". This purchase was one of the major moves in the penetration of the convenience store market by the major supermarkets, which is currently one of the major controversies in British retailing.
