Bellary Airport is the airport that currently serving the city of Bellary, Karnataka, India. The airport was serving as air strip during rule of British especially at the time of World War Two. The airport lost its significance afterwards. The renewed interest in the airport is due to hectic economic activities taking place due to vast reserves of high quality iron ore found in Bellary district and subsequent setting of integrated steel plants in the region.
