Ben Fine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ben Fine is Professor of Economics at the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies. He is the author of a number of key works in the broad tradition of heterodox economics, and has made contributions on economic imperialism and social capital. Perhaps his most significant book to date is Social Capital versus Social Theory (2001). He received his doctorate in economics from the London School of Economics, under the supervision of Amartya Sen. He was professor at Cambridge.
He cuts an amazing figure of a left wing intellectual, with his black leather jacket and tall imposing demeanour. A truly amazing person to debate with.
