Ben Hill Middle School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ben Hill Middle School was opened in 1986 on Ehrlich Road in Tampa, Florida.
The school is named in honor of Ben Hill, a former Hillsborough County, Florida school board member.
The school colors are garnet and gray.
The school mascot is the Bear.
Ben Hill is a higher-class school with a low minority population. The demographics are almost completely opposite from their rival school, Buchanan Middle School. While 63.44% of Buchanan's population is non-White, only 48.26% of Ben Hill's population is non-White. This causes much racially-motivated tension when students transfer to Gaither High School.
