The term 'rolling in your Bentley' should probably be mentioned. -Jeshii 23:42, 27 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Wikipedia can be an amazing source of news. I live in Crewe, where the Bentleys are produced and saw User:NetguruDD's edits of 4 Oct 2004, and nearly reverted them as they seemed preposterous. Although they are not entirely correct, especially with regard to where Bentleys are manufactured, the Crewe Chronicle reports on 6 Oct 2004 that it's proposed to produce the new 4-door version of the Continental GT in Dresden, though the 2-door stays in Crewe (and as far as I know the bodies are produced here and not in Germany!). -- Arwel 00:24, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] VW thought they were buying Rolls-Royce
Surely it ought to be mentioned that VW intended to buy Rolls-Royce, not just Bentley, but BMW were able to withdraw the name rights to RR after the sale had been made, due to a technicality owing to their Rolls Royce-BMW jet engine joint venture. It was something of a blunder for VW, even if, at the end, all ended well. ProhibitOnions 00:59, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
