Beretta 90-TWO Models
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Beretta 90-Two series is an improvement to the Beretta 92 series pistols. 90-Two series pistols use either 9mm Luger or .40 S&W ammo. In the 92 series the model number signified what ammo the pistol uses, 92 models use 9mm Luger and 96 models use .40 S&W. In the 90-Two series both calibers have the same model name; there is no "90-Six" model name.
The most obvious difference between the 92/96 series and 90-Two series pistols is the appearance: the 92 series pistols have more straight lines and are less ergonomic. Accessory rails are standard on 90-Two series pistols, but many 92 series pistol do not have an accessory rail. 90-Two series pistols have a new, interchangeable wrap-around style grip allowing users to choose grips that work better with large or small hands. Magazine capacities available for the 90-Two 9mm are: 10-round single-stack, 15 or 17-round double-stack. The highest capacity magazines made for 96 series pistols held 11 rounds, magazines for 90-Two series pistols using .40 S&W ammo are available with up to 12 round capacity.
