Bergenline Avenue (HBLR station)

Bergenline Avenue is a station on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) located at 49th Street in Union City, New Jersey. The station is the only underground station in the HBLR system, located 160 feet below Bergenline Avenue, near the borders with North Bergen and West New York.
The station opened for service on February 25, 2006. Service from the station is available northbound to Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen. Southbound service is offered to Hoboken Terminal, and directly to West Side Avenue in Jersey City (bypassing Hoboken Terminal) via the city's Hudson Riverfront, with transfers available to points in Bayonne at stations ranging from Hoboken Terminal to Liberty State Park. Connection to PATH trains to midtown Manhattan and to New Jersey Transit commuter train service are available at Hoboken Terminal. Transfers to PATH trains to Newark, Harrison, and downtown Manhattan are available at Exchange Place.
