Bernie Castro (born July 14, 1979 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) plays second base for the Washington Nationals. He started in 2005 with the Baltimore Orioles but signed with the Nationals as a free agent in the offseason.

He appeared in only 24 games his rookie season, registering 7 RBIs. In 2006, Castro established himself as a true big leaguer with his speed and versatility contributing to much of his success.
