Bertrand de Billy

Bertrand de Billy, (born 1965 in Paris), is a French conductor. His opera conducting career began at the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau, where he served as First Conductor and General Music Director.
From 1996 to 1998, de Billy was first conductor at the Vienna Volksoper. From 1999 to 2004, he was Music Director at the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona). Since September 2002, de Billy has been Principal Conductor of the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.
