[edit] Philanthropy
Since a founding principle of Beta Chi Theta is Service to Humanity, many local chapters host "service weeks" in an effort to focus their energies to a particular problem. For example, every Spring semester the Eta Chapter[1] at the University of Texas at Austin hosts Beating Heart Disease (BHD) Week, where they provide extensive awareness and fundraising to the causes, effects, and cures of heart disease.
[edit] Alumni
Because the bonds of brotherhood last a lifetime, Beta Chi Theta believes strongly in a unified nationwide network of alumni. Beta Chi Theta alumni believe in helping their fellow brothers by providing guidance and counseling about issues such as the current job market and applying to graduate and professional schools.

[edit] North-American Interfraternity Conference
- On April 23rd, 2006, Beta Chi Theta became the first and only nationally recognized South Asian fraternity through its acceptance of membership into the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). Additionally, at seven years of age, it is also the youngest fraternity ever to become a member of the NIC.
- Beta Chi Theta, along with Alpha Phi Alpha, Phi Sigma Kappa, and Sigma Phi Delta, was welcomed into the NIC by NIC President James R. Estes at the opening ceremonies of the NIC Annual Meeting. In his welcome, Estes commented that these fraternities “bring a rich tradition of fraternity ideals to the conference. We are thrilled that they have joined the conference and look forward to working with them in the coming years.” “We look forward to including these organizations in our educational programming, campus visits, and community events,” said NIC Executive Vice President Jon Williamson.
- All chapters and colonies of the fraternity are either members of their host institution's Inter-Fraternity Council (IFC) or are currently pursuing membership.
