Hi I'm Mark Siddens, I was born on May 31st 1990 and I live in Blaydon, Newcastle upon Tyne. I go to school at St. Thomas More school in Blaydon. I am studying Physics, Double course IT and English for my A-Levels and would like to take a degree in Computer Science when possible. My hero is Professor Steven Hawking and he brought about my love of Physics. I would consider myself to be a pretty big nerd and spend most of my day on my PC.

I am a Ziff Davis fanboy- I listen to (and watch if possible) DL.TV, CrankyGeeks, 1UP Yours, EGM Live, CGW, Extremetech and Whats New Now as well as Digital Planet from the BBC.
I suffer from BID (Browser Indecisiveness Disorder) and currently switch between IE7, Firefox and Opera. This results in a lot of scrambled bookmarks.
My ideal first car would be a black VW Golf MkIV but if money was no object I would have an Aston Martin DB9.
[edit] Beliefs
Although I was brought up into a Roman Catholic family I am an atheist because I believe faith in something when there is evidence to disprove it seems a bit shortsighted and stubborn.
When I die I think that the brain in it's last moments conjures up a vision of whatever it thinks mostly fits what you expect to happen when you die and due to the way dreams work, although it is in reality only a very short time it seems to be much longer to the dreamer. For example if you have been brought up to believe that you will be sent to heaven it will match that belief.

I am interested in computer gaming and programming (C++ AND C#) as well as football, cars, technology, military weapons, website design and astrophysics. I currently read TopGear magazine and would like to subscribe to US PCMagazine but do not want to wait 8-12 weeks for delivery.
I support Newcastle United FC in the Premiership but my favourite footballer of all time is Zinedine Zidane. I play football, tennis, table tennis, golf and cricket.

My current computer is a modified Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P with a 17" monitor. The graphics card is a 512MB Sapphire ATI RADEON X1600 PRO. My mouse is a Logitech G5 Laser Mouse with 2000,1200,800,600 and 400dpi switchable on the fly. I use a 3Ghz(2993MHz) Intel Pentium4 HT and 1GB of RAM. I connect to the internet with Blueyonder 2Mb broadband. My OS is Windows XP MCE and SUSE Linux.
When I can afford it and find the right 'rig' I will buy a laptop.

The games I currently have installed on my PC are Battlefield2, Far Cry, Guild Wars, Civilization IV, Black and White 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and Counter Strike:Source. My favourite games of all time are Legend of Zelda: Oot, Metal Gear solid (series), Gran Turismo 4 and Guild Wars.
