Bikini Beach ( the movie ) is a 1964 teen movie directed by William Asher, and starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello. This film belongs to the "Beach Party" genre of movies, popular in the 1960s.

[edit] Plot
School is out, and everyone's headed for the beach! All is well until a millionaire (Wynn) comes around, convinced that the beachgoers are nothing but senseless kids obsessed with sex, when all they really want to do is to have fun. With his car-driving, watusi-dancing, surfing pet chimp Clyde, he plans to turn Bikini Beach into a senior citizens retirement home. Meanwhile, a British Beatle-wannabe, The Potato Bug (played by Frankie Avalon in a dual role) comes along and falls in love with Dee Dee (Funicello), of course, setting Frankie (Avalon) into a jealous rage. In the end, both guys end up competing in a drag race.
