Bill Dooks

Bill Dooks (born January 24, 1956 in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian politician, who currently serves as Minister of Energy in the legistlative assembly of Nova Scotia. He is a member of the Progressive Conservatives in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly.
Dooks worked in banking before entering politics. He was first elected to Halifax County Council in 1994. He was re-elected in 1995 to sit on the newly formed Halifax Regional Council, when Halifax County was amalgamated with the cities of Halifax and Dartmouth and the town of Bedford.
Dooks ran for the Legislative Assembly in 1999, and was elected in the riding of Eastern Shore. He was appointed Deputy House Leader for the Government in September, 2003.
