Bill Alldredge (born January 2, 1980) is a controversial Mayoral candidate for the April 3, 2007 Municipal elections in Fort Collins, Colorado. According to the Billy For Mayor campaign website, Alldredge touts himself as an average citizen with little or no political experience, yet a colorful and whimsical personality.
The low-budget, grass-roots campaign has strongly utilized blogs and word-of-mouth to gain a large number of supporters, as well as the attention of the local and national media, appealing to Everyday Joe voters who typically would not be interested in politics or an election. Alluding to Fort Collins' current ranking as the Number One City in America, according to Money Magazine, the campaign slogan is "Finally, a mayor as unique as the city."
Alldredge is running against incumbent Mayor Doug Hutchinson, a retired Air Force lieutenant.
