Billy Turner

William H. Turner is a former American steeplechase jockey and Thoroughbred horse trainer. He is best known as trainer of the Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew. His niece, Kelsey Shacker, is currently training Southern Slew, descendant of Seattle Slew.
A recovering alcoholic, Billy Turner was fired by Seattle Slew's owners after his three-year-old season.
In recent years he has been working in Long Island, New York and training horses at Belmont Park.
