Talk:Biomedical informatics
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't think this article needs a list of all departments named "biomedical informatics". It may be better to mention centres of excellence, but examples of the use of the term don't add much. As for the Elsevier journal, there must be other publications in the field as well. JFW | T@lk 11:26, 14 July 2005 (UTC)
- agree, per WP:NOT#DIRECTORY. As with other 'discipline' pages, list quickly become unmanageable and fall victim to vandalism and linkspam. my opinion: At the very least, there should be more sentences in the article than external links supporting those statements.
- How are "centres of excellence" determined? I thought the list of University biomedical departments useful when doing my graduate program search, since most magazines/etc tend not to mention anything about biomedical informatics. I'm not sure if this information belongs on this page, however. At minimum, perhaps the external links list can be organzed better? --SamatJain 05:11, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- I am putting them as External Links. The term "biomedical informatics" is there only in this journal. Supten 06:22, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
When was the phase Biomedical Informatics first coined/published? By whom? That might give some insight into the 'relationship' to bioinformatics. --Jethero 06:49, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
