[edit] Criticism
Wired called BitThief "straight-up nefarious and wrong."[1] It has also attracted controversy with its undocumented feature whereby it sends information about the torrent files being downloaded by the client, such as total number of pieces available, size of the pieces and the torrent hash which can be used to identify the file being downloaded.[2]
