Black Butte may refer to:
- Black Butte (California) - a volcano in the U.S. state of California
- Black Butte (Oregon) - a volcano in the U.S. State of Oregon
- Black Butte Porter - a beer manufactured by Deschutes Brewery, named after the Oregon volcano
- Black Butte Ranch, Oregon - a planned community in Deschutes County, Oregon, with a view of the Oregon volcano
There are 113 summits named Black Butte in 14 western U.S. states, including 25 in Montana, 18 in California, 18 in Oregon, 13 in Nevada, and 12 in Arizona, along with a town/location named Black Butte in both California and Oregon. Even many indivdual counties have multiple summits named Black Butte, led by Owyhee County (ID), Grant County (OR), and Malheur County (OR) with 4 each. There are also 9 more summits named "Black Buttes", along with one Black Butte Mountain. Strangely enough, there are no features named Black Butte in Canada (see Geographical Names of Canada: Query by name), although there are numerous Black Mountains, Black Hills, and Black Peaks. Evidently, in striking contrast to the US, "Butte" is not a common toponym in Canada.
