Black and White in Color (French: Noirs et blancs en couleur) is a 1976 war film directed by Jean Jacques Annaud as his directorial debut. It depicts French colonists at war with the Germans in Africa. The film was a co-production between companies in France, Germany, the Ivory Coast and Switzerland.
The film won the 1976 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film; it was submitted to the Academy by the Ivory Coast, resulting in that country's first and only Oscar.
