Bloomington High School South (BHSS) is a high school in Bloomington, Indiana. The school currently uses a schedule consisting of three 12-week trimesters. Each class period is 67 minutes long, except on Wednesdays when SRT (Student Resource Time, essentially a homeroom) shortens classes (excluding third period, during which lunch takes place) to 49 minutes. Several well-known Hoosiers have attended South, including Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman, Meg Cabot, Hoagy Carmichael and Minnesota-based humorist Peter Conrad.
