BlueTie is a leading provider of Software as a Service, that focuses on providing their collaboration suite primarily to small and medium size businesses. The company was founded in 1999, beginning by distributing their software through ISPs and other business partners. Today, BlueTie distributes its services via the web, direct sales, and through leading service providers worldwide. BlueTie's collaboration suite includes e-mail, calendaring, contacts, file sharing, and much more all in one web-based application. Additionally, BlueTie provides domain name support and branding options which allows their customers to make the product their own. In October 2006, BlueTie released a free version of their collaboration suite to the public which includes many of the features and capabilities that are currently provided in their paid version, BlueTie Pro.
