Blueharts Hockey Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blueharts Hockey Club is a hockey club based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. They were founded in 1946 and train at Hitchin Boy's School.
The hockey club hold an annual fireworks display on the 5th November. This is the town's premier fireworks event.
Blueharts also lends its name to an alcoholic drink. Half lager, half cider, topped with blackcurrant is known as a pint of Blueharts, particularly in the Preston (Lancashire) area.
Not only this, but the term "Blueharts" can be used to mean anything good, for example "I feel Blueharts today."
In understanding households, the word "Blueharts" may be substituted for any object or word which is not negative in a sentence. For instance, "When I get home I might watch some Blueharts" may mean "When I get home I might watch some TV."
The opposite for this term, if needed to be used in a negative sense is "Neots" named after the Cambridgeshire town of St Neots. An example of substituting here may be "I feel utterly Neots", meaning "I feel utterly awful."
