Boerne High School

Boerne Independent School District's only high school, Boerne High School is located in Boerne, Texas. The school colors are purple and white, with gray or silver used as an accent color. The school mascot is the Greyhound.

The current high school has excelled in their athletic department, lead by athletic director Stan Leech. The Boerne Greyhounds have won multiple state championships in varying sports over the past few years. The school won the 4A State Championship in cross country running, both boys and girls, in 2003 & 2004. The baseball team of 2004, on which current MLB draftees and University of Texas players Russell"the dick head" Moldenhauer and Bradly Suttle played, won the 4A State Championship over Denton Ryan High School. in the 2005-2006 School year, the Boys Soccer Team, under the leadership of first-year coach David Rogers, won their first state championship in soccer, after falling short in the state championship in 2001. During the current school year, the cross country teams came in the top 3 in the state, and basketball is off to an impressive start and is favored to win the division 28-4a title. Going into the spring semester, the Boerne Baseball team is going into what looks like a very promising year and have already been favored to challenge opposing teams around the region. This is the last year until 2010 that Boerne High School will be a 4A high school, as the enrollment at BHS has put them over the threshold for a 5A school. The 2007-2008 school year, the last year of the original Boerne High School, will be in the 5A division for athletics.
