Bolton Landing, New York is a small lakeside community in the Adirondacks. It is ten miles north of Lake George Village on the west side of Lake George which is 32 miles long. The closest city in the nearby area is Glens Falls to the south.
Some notable places to eat include The Ryefield, The Algonquin,The Market Place, Villa Napoli, The Lake George Club, Fredricks, The LakeSide Grill, Nueffers Deli, Subway, The Sagamore Resort. Some of the best shopping includes Happy Jack's, Bolton Bay Traders, The Indian Tepee. There are 4 public beachs for swimming.
Home of the Bolton Landing Barbershop Quartet Festival for 14 years. The international harmony singing event drew crowds and visitors from around the world and was featured on several television shows including an hour long special in Japan. The festival ended in 2002.
Bolton Landing is home of sculptor David Smith, and is where he did a large percentage of his work. Since 2005, Bolton Landing has also been home to the Lake George Theater Lab, a theater company founded by Lindsey Gates and devoted to new American plays and adaptations.
