The article had the tag: (source: ljworld.com)
It should still be called the "Border War" because it really does refer to a War that went on between Kansas and Missouri during the Civil War. I don't really know anyone who says "Showdown" even though that may be the "offical name." It really has changed in local vonacual.
Both schools have requested that it be called the Border Showdown, and that is its official name. I'm going to change the article to reflect this. Zkissane 18:18, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
