Boss' Life is the fifth single off Snoop Dogg's 8th studio album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. The song originally featured Akon, but due to label issues the original vocals have been replaced by new verses by Nate Dogg. The lyrics of Snoop Dogg were co-written by The D.O.C. It samples "If Tomorrow Never Comes" and "Everybody rise" by The Controllers. Snoop Dogg makes reference to the upcoming Detox album of Dr. Dre with the line "if my nigga's detoxin' there's more for me".
